Knight of Columbus

MSGR. MICHAEL G. ABDOO COUNCIL #8231
Serving the Parishes of St. Sharbel, St. Maron and St. Rafka.  Founded in 1982 at St. Maron Church in Detroit, the Msgr. Michael Abdoo Council is the first Maronite Council of the Knights of Columbus.   
Monthly meetings are held on the third Monday of each month at St. Sharbel Church.

Ladies Altar Sociaty

ST. SHARBEL LADIES ALTAR SOCIETY
Women of all ages are invited to work together in this special ministry. We maintain and supply the needs of the Altar and Sacristy [the room where the vestments and sacred vessels are kept] and provide assistance to the priest and church where needed.  The LAS hosts various fundraisers throughout the year and helps to promote the spiritual life of the church.

ST. SHARBEL MARONITE YOUTH ORGANIZATION

Maronite Youth 12-18 years old are invited to create a solid foundation of their Maronite faith through a variety of spiritual, social, and community service activities. The primary purpose of this organization shall be to promote the spiritual welfare of its members, to strengthen youth groups in the Maronite faith, to have prayer days, to learn more about each other, and to grow socially and intellectually. Our goal is to build a community of teens and adults. In this community, we hope to create opportunities for the development of personal faith, service to others, and systematic instruction in our Maronite religious tradition.

ST. SHARBEL MARONITE YOUNG ADULTS

The Maronite Young Adults organization is a group aimed at helping young adults ages 18-35 years old to develop their faith deeper, live their faith with acceptance, and spread their faith in their daily lives. The goal of the Maronite Young Adults group at St. Sharbel is to gather the Maronite young adults of our parish to practice their faith socially, spiritually, and culturally. To achieve this goal, the Maronite Young Adults group has engaged in various spiritual, social, and volunteer events.
